The Best Margarita EVER! I’ve made this so many times… and each time I do, whomever is the lucky recipient, always raves about them and starts making them at home. I personally have to be very careful with the amount of sugar I consume due to having reactive hypoglycemia. There is absolutely no way that I can drink a margarita at a restaurant, due to the amount of mix or sweet and sour they use. Which was a HUGE bummer to me, because I love a good margarita! Then I found this recipe!! And because of using the whole fruit, it cuts way back on the sugar. I can now have a MARGARITA!! :-) (In my mind, the clouds just parted and angels are singing!! LOLOL) This recipe is from Vitamix. If you don’t have one you can use your regular blender… but you’ll have to adjust your blending time, and in all honesty it won’t come out as smooth. It will still taste amazing! It just won’t have the exact consistency. If you’re in the market for a Vitamix (I LOVE mine) I’ll post a code and link below to use for free shipping! With all of my health issues and dietary requirements, the Vitamix is seriously one of the best purchases I’ve ever made!
- ¼ cup water
- 6 ounces, tequila
- 2 ounces, triple sec
- 1 whole orange, peeled
- 1 whole lemon, peeled
- 1 whole lime, peeled
- 5-6 Tbs. sugar (Vitamix recipe calls for 6... but I use 5 and it's sweet enough)
- 6 cups ice
- Grand Marnier to "float" on top (Vitamix recipe doesn't call for this.... but I love it!)
- Place all ingredients, except the Grand Marnier, into your Vitamix (or blender).
- Blend until smooth.
- Pour into salt rimmed glasses.
- Garnish with a lime and a "float" of Grand Marnier on top.

I see a bottle of peach something in the photo. Do you also put that in the margarita?
VixenKelly says
Hi Linda! That bottle is a bottle of triple sec… it looks like a peach doesn’t it?? I actually just went into my liquor cabinet to check the picture! It’s an orange sitting in a martini glass 🙂
