Under The Sea Fabric Backdrop

Under The Sea Fabric Backdrop! I made this for my daughters Under the Sea themed birthday party. It was a hit… and amazingly easy to make! It was so beautiful that I she didn’t want me to take it down 🙂 It was soft and delicate… which I thought was a nice option, versus plastering Ariel everywhere!

I purchased 8 yards of fabric… 2 yards of each color. I bought mine at Joann’s on sale. I don’t think I spent more than a couple of bucks for each yard. Make sure you look in the newspaper or online for coupons!!

At first I thought I was going to use my rotary cutter… but then I opted on tearing it into strips instead. I’m SO glad I did it this way…. it saved me so much time!

After I had a pile of strips… I started looping them around a long piece of white yarn.

This is what I ended up with! It was so pretty hanging up in the window!
