Homemade Sangria! This sangria is so delicious and easy to make. Make this tonight in time for tomorrow’s Cinco de Mayo festivities!! I absolutely love a good homemade sangria. I never order sangria in a restaurant though… because I’ve never found one that’s any good!! But I love making my own…. especially for a crowd, because it’s so easy and it’s like having your “signature” drink. I’ve made this so many times for big parties and it’s always a hit. I even get requests to make it! It’s best when made ahead… so the flavors can blend. Make this tonight and it will be perfect for tomorrow!!
Ingredients (makes 4-5 drinks):
- 1 bottle rosé or blush wine (750ml)
- 1/4 cup brandy
- 1/4 cup triple sec
- 1/4 cup simple syrup (to make simple syrup, lightly boil one part water to one part sugar. Remove from heat and cool)
- 1 cup orange juice
- Fresh fruit of your liking 🙂
Ingredients for a larger party (makes 20-25 drinks)
- 1 jug of rosé or blush wine (4L bottle… this is the ONLY time I’ll buy the cheap stuff! lol I buy the Carlo Rossi Blush)
- 1 1/3 cup brandy
- 1 1/3 cup triple sec
- 1 1/3 cup simple syrup
- 5 1/2 cups orange juice
- Fresh fruit of your liking
Instructions:
- Combine all ingredients, except the fruit in a large pitcher. Stir well. Refrigerate for at least 8 hours.
- Serve over ice and garnish with your choice of fruit.
